Oasis at WSNM

Custom WordPress & WooCommerce Website

Oasis at WSNM is the med spa arm of Women’s Specialists of New Mexico, a women’s health practice that began offering aesthetic and wellness treatments in 2011 under Dr. Steven Gough and later spun that program into its own brand. It’s a clinical, physician-backed med spa — injectables, lasers, body contouring, microneedling, IV therapy, and medical-grade skincare — and the site had to carry that authority while still feeling like a place you’d want to spend an afternoon.

I handled the redesign and the WordPress development, and I’ve stayed on for ongoing support and maintenance. The build runs on a custom Blocksy child theme, with the treatment menu, provider roster, and patient reviews each driven by their own content type, so adding a new service or provider is a clean, structured update rather than a page rebuild. Today that’s 44 treatments — Botox, DAXXIFY, CoolSculpting Elite, Emsculpt, DiamondGlow, Clear + Brilliant, a full IV-therapy line — organized into the categories patients actually browse by, alongside a dozen provider bios led by Dr. Gough.

The site is also a real store. Through WooCommerce, Oasis sells medical-grade skincare bundles built from EltaMD, SkinCeuticals, PCA Skin, and iS Clinical, plus gift cards and branded merchandise, with secure checkout through Authorize.Net. Building the regimens as purchasable bundles — anti-aging, acne, hyperpigmentation — let patients shop the way an esthetician would actually recommend: by goal, not by SKU.

Where this project really lives, though, is the ongoing work. Every month the spa offers a new set of specials, and I refresh them through a repeatable system I built rather than rebuilding a page each time: a seasonal flyer, a set of offer cards, and a matching section on the homepage, updated on a schedule. One month it’s $10-a-unit Botox and a sunscreen buy-one-get-one; the next it’s something else. The structure stays put; only the offers change. That, plus routine platform and plugin upkeep on a managed-commerce stack, is what keeps the site current without a redesign every season.

Oasis at WSNM is the kind of project I like most: a clean, credible front end over a content system that stays easy to maintain — and a standing relationship where I keep it current.

Beyond his skill as a designer and web developer, Patrick is an absolute pleasure to work with. His personable and energetic nature is something I've rarely seen in working with a designer, and he is enthusiastic to convey not only good design, but the philosophy behind it.
